Troubleshooting Common Problems

Butane lighters

   1、No sparks generated by turning the fire wheel, no flames generated

Reason:The flint can't reach the top of the fire wheel, so it can't rub the flint to produce flame.

Solution:You can try to slightly stretch the spring, or you can put two flints in.

   2、Double flame mode lighter, appear open flame work, direct flame does not work

Reason:Due to the inconsistent pressure in the gas tank caused by each gas charge, there may be open flame mode available, direct flame mode is too small or not available, please do not worry, this is not a quality problem, because the direct flame mode requires greater gas pressure.

Solution:Please adjust the bottom straight mode adjustment valve (and the inflatable mouth is integrated with the straight flame adjustment valve), the flame height adjustment to the standard height (0.5-1 inch range), each adjustment rotation angle should be about ten degrees, the flame is too small too much is not easy to ignite, too large easily lead to gas flow rate too fast and blow out the flame, please strictly in accordance with the standard height of the implementation of the adjustment! Please understand the special structure of this product, the need for tedious adjustment steps.

please remain patient, follow the above description can solve the problem of non-functional direct flame! If you can not solve, please contact the customer service team!

   3、Oil leakage/fast gas consumption

Solution:Please confirm that the gas valve or cover should be closed in time when not in use to prevent gas leakage in order to prolong the use of gas.

   4、When filling a lighter with butane, the butane immediately hisses and is expelled from the lighter through the filler nozzle.

Reason:Hissing sound when using: The valve makes a slight hissing sound, which is the working principle of the gas switch and is not due to gas leakage. Close it after use and wait 10 seconds, the hissing sound disappears.

Solution:Filling with hissing sound: butane bottle kerosene aligned with the gas inlet of the lighter, there is a tilt angle, press not strong enough, resulting in gas leakage.

This time there may be mixed with some air, which will lead to the back ignition instability or even can not be ignited, it is recommended to re-deflate the gas to inflate again.

   5、The flame will still burn after the switch is turned off.

Reason:The flame is adjusted too high, so that when the ignition action is stopped, there is still butane discharge from the gas outlet and the flame continues to ignite.

Solution:It is recommended that the flame size be adjusted within a reasonable size range.

   6、Lighter on fire,flames coming out everywhere.

Reason:This is a problem in the use of the process, improper operation. Basically, the gas is too big, the air pressure is too big, broke through the gas guide tube, the flame will come out everywhere. May also be the nozzle clogged will be so, but the clogging is basically difficult to personal maintenance.

There is also inflatable gas poor quality containing impurities, will likely lead to the entire lighter on fire.

Solution:As long as the flame from all sides out, the lighter is broken, can only be replaced.

   7、The lighter does not light up properly?

Reason:Most of the cases are flame adjustment problems, because the lighter is deflated before the sale, deflated before the mail!

Solution:We can deflate again and then re-inflate, adjust the flame in a reasonable range, you can hit the fire. If you get to some temperature, air pressure is worse, the lighter and then ignite, there may also be a failure to light or flame longer and shorter problem!

Kerosene Lighter

   1、How to adjust the fire kerosene lighter?

Method 1: Adjust the length of the wick, small fires need to cut the wick short, slightly shorter than the windbreak wall; large fires can be directly pulled out some cotton wick, slightly higher than the windbreak wall.

Method 2: Adjust the position of the cotton wick, large fire can be plucked in the opposite direction of the cotton wick to the flaming wheel, the shape of the fire is short and thick, note that you can not dial too much, otherwise the fire is not easy to hit the air. Small fire in the opposite operation, the fire is high and long.

   2、Why does the fire sometimes jump and jump? Sometimes the lower part is empty?

There may be two reasons, one is the location of the wick is too close to the firewall, the wick pulled to the center can be solved;

 The second is the possible lighter oil depletion, the need for refueling.

   3、Do I need to replace the cotton wick when it becomes black?

Reason:After the use of kerosene lighter, the cotton wick will gradually become black, is a normal phenomenon.

Solution:When the carbonization of the wick affects the rate of adhesion, the wick can be trimmed. Use pointed pliers to pull out the wick about 1cm, and use the shears to cut off the charred part.

If often trimmed, the total length of the wick is getting shorter and shorter, and the contact area between the wick and the inner kerosene will be less and less, then you can replace a new wick.

   4、How to do if the lighter wheel does not turn?

When the lighter's flint wheel does not turn, it means that the flint is used up, need to replace the flint.
There is another situation is just put in the new flint can not play, you can take out the new flint in the ground rub a few times and then put in.

   5、What about the low friction of the flint wheel?

Just stretch the spring in the inner liner a little longer, which is very effective in improving the primary hit rate of the kerosene machine.

   6、What is the blackening of the outside of the firewall?

Reason:The flame is blown to the outside of the firewall by the wind, and the kerosene with incomplete flame burning will remain on the outside of the firewall and will be blackened.

Solution:Just wipe it off with a paper towel.

   7、How much lighter refueling is appropriate?

Not easy to too much, generally add kerosene to see the movement of the cotton surface wet can be, the newly purchased lighter can add a little more, the overflow of kerosene directly wipe clean, it can be used.

   8、How to clean the liner of the kerosene lighter?

Wipe with a cotton swab dipped in kerosene. Mainly pay attention to the maintenance of the shell and clean up the combustion chamber and the accumulation of ash on the flint wheel.

   9、Kerosene lighter does not fire causes and treatment

May be the use of kerosene is not pure, you can choose genuine kerosene, basically can be used for a week, or lighter no oil, this situation can be refueled, or cotton wick is not long enough or location is too biased or even aging, this situation should be changed wick, may also be the problem of flint or liner, to replace. Click here to buy a new kerosene lighter parts for replacement.

   10、How many days can a flint be used for one filling? How long does a flint last?

The amount of oil and flint use varies from person to person, there is no uniform standard. Kerosene is volatile, if the filling is not used, after a while will also evaporate; flint is generally speaking 1-2 months to change a, if the practice of playing may be 1-2 days to change a.
You can buy our kerosene lighter accessories, there are kerosene lighter anti-volatile gasket, and a variety of replacement flint, etc.

How to properly refill fuel (butane & kerosene)

Butane lighters:

(1) There should never be sparks or fires around when filling gas, to ensure safety. Do not smoke while refueling, and try to choose a well-ventilated place to refuel. Do not bake and heat with fire to prevent bursting.

(2) should use qualified butane gas, poor quality gas impurities to fight low ignition point, may damage the lighter or reduce the service life.

(3) ordinary models of lighters to refill, please invert the lighter, the gas bottle outlet aligned and cover the gas inlet of the lighter, force pressure several times, each time keep about 2 seconds; if the gas can not be refilled, may be the gas tank left in the excess air, at this time you can be deflated, with a small screwdriver aligned with the gas inlet sharply deflated 1-2 times, and then refill the operation.

(4) all kinds of lighters after refueling, at least 1-5 minutes to wait for the new gas temperature to room temperature, and wait for the residual gas attached to the lighter outside completely evaporated completely before ignition. If the gas is added immediately after the ignition operation, because the gas just added is very cold, it is difficult to fire, but also may ignite the residual gas on the exterior of the lighter, causing unnecessary danger. After the gas is replenished, the flame height may be too high or too low due to the different gas pressure and ignition point, which is a normal phenomenon and can be adjusted moderately.

Kerosene Lighter(Add kerosene & replace flint & replace cotton wick)

Add kerosene

(1) hold the lower part of the lighter, while pinching the windproof wall, pull out the liner with a little force, just factory lighter liner and the case will have varying degrees of adhesion, so the first pull out will be slightly more effort.

(2)reverse pinch the liner, open the screw mouth cover, lift the outer sponge pad until you find the skim cotton ball, fill with kerosene until the cotton ball is moistened, do not overflow or from the flame burning mouth / cotton wick head out, if you add too much need to dump more fuel, otherwise it is easy to leak oil and other problems, laying a safety hazard.

If you do not want too much trouble to add kerosene, you can buy a kerosene lighter gasket to add kerosene easily and quickly.

Kerosene can also be filled in through the flint placement hole, but this way can not judge the filling situation, so non-skilled hands are not recommended. In addition, some kerosene lighters skimmer cotton ball location is not the same, so depending on the style and understand the refueling steps.

(3) Wait for the kerosene to seep into the inner cotton ball, cover the outer sponge pad, and then set into the case. Reverse the lighter to install, check the oil cover tightness and oil leakage or not. If everything is normal, dry your hands as well as the surface of the lighter on it, can not be stained with oil fuel.

Attention

(Suitable for Butane Lighters and Kerosene Lighters and Permanent Matches)

(1) Contains pressurized flammable gas, please keep away from children;
(2) Do not pierce or throw the lighter, do not throw it into the fire;
(3) Please use in a ventilated environment, pay attention to flammable items;
(4) The direction of the fire head is strictly prohibited towards the face, skin and clothing and other combustible materials to avoid danger;
(5) when ignition, please identify the location of the flame outlet, moderate press the ignition. Different styles of lighters use different ways of ignition: straight, side, side; kerosene machine should be quickly rubbed grinding wheel
(6) when using, if accidentally have soot and other debris fall into the fire outlet, should be promptly blow hard to remove debris, otherwise it will cause a bad fire;
(7) lighter with a cover or gas valve (safety switch), such as the cover or valve is opened, the gas will begin to leak out. Therefore, please make sure to keep the cover tight when not ignited;
(8) Do not leave the lighter in a hot environment (50 degrees Celsius / 122 degrees Fahrenheit) for a long time, and avoid prolonged direct sunlight, such as around the stove, outdoor closed unoccupied compartments and trunks;
(9) Due to the limitations of air pressure on combustion conditions in areas above 3000 meters above sea level, the ignition of windproof and direct-flash type lighters may be more affected. At this time it is recommended to use open flame class lighter;
(10) in use, should be clear when the flame outlet, air inlet, flame regulator location and ignition mode to do the correct use.
